An unforgettable picnic

The renowned Dioriviera pop-up has graced many beautiful, glamorous, and inspiring locations worldwide, including the party island of Ibiza, the breathtaking coast of Mykonos, Portofino, and Turkey’s D-Maris Bay. Following last year’s grand showcase and beachside transformation of One&Only Desaru Coast, the collection and ephemeral pop-up now finds a new home in our city. Situated prominently at the entrance of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, it will run from now until July 21, 2024.

First, let’s take a closer look at the stunning collection. The Maison has introduced new elements to the Dioriviera capsule, an extension of the summer wardrobe created by Maria Grazia Chiuri. This season’s highlights include a delightful new palette of aquamarine, coral, and gold. These colours adorn the signature Toile de Jouy print, reimagined for the Dior Spring/Summer 2023/24 ready-to-wear line.

The offerings include midi dresses, mini skirts, airy blouses, and tops, creating a fresh and summery wardrobe. The collection also features beachwear and accessories such as ponchos, pareos, and silk scarves, all adorned with houndstooth prints or Toile de Jouy. Interestingly, there are two unique versions of the Toile de Jouy—one featuring elements of lush and wild nature and the other with a constellation of suns. These versions are named Toile d’Emblématique Jouy Sauvage and Toile de Jouy Soleil.

These fascinating prints also grace the Lady D-Lite and Dior Book Tote bags and are reinterpreted in wicker on the Lady D-Joy. Moreover, the beautiful and signature designs extend to homeware, including glassware, table linens, cushions, vases, sports objects, yoga mats, and more.

A very Dior summer

One of the most exciting aspects of the pop-up is the return of the Dior Café. This unmissable setup is located outdoors adjacent to the Dior boutique, right next to Pavilion Kuala Lumpur’s signature fountain. It’s a picturesque space featuring picnic tables, seats, and parasols adorned with the Toile de Jouy print, with animal sculptures made from seashells adding a lively touch. Now in its third collaboration with Beta KL, led by the renowned Chef Raymond Tham, this café promises a unique culinary experience. Chef Tham, celebrated for his skilful infusion of local flavours, has meticulously crafted desserts, including the first-ever Cannage print chocolate mousse cake.

In addition to these delectable dishes, the pop-up offers a delightful array of treats including a Harum Manis Mango tart with Gula Melaka, the exquisite Rose and Lychee cake, and an ice-cream cart featuring unique flavors. These offerings are perfectly complemented by a cup of hot coffee or a refreshing iced cocktail, ensuring an ideal summer experience in Kuala Lumpur.

A certified hotspot and the must-visit place of the month, come see who else has arrived at Dioriviera KL.
