This charming kid is the reason why Moschino Barbie's ad is making headlines
Groundbreaking in the industry
There's a new kid in the block and he's ultra-cute, sassy, and looks a lot like Moschino creative director Jeremy Scott. He also happens to be the star of Moschino Barbie's commercial, marking the first time in history that a boy has been casted in a Barbie commercial. While his mohawk and effortless way of selling the limited edition, €140 doll—a wink with a "Moschino Barbie is so fierce!"—is praise-worthy, we think that the ad's role of breaking down gender barriers and stereotypes deserves an applause. This alludes to us that boys too, can find their own way to exude ferocity in the world, in time to come. So who still thinks that girls can only play dolls and boys should stick to toy cars?
