A look at Burberry’s Gosha Rubchinskiy capsule collection

The Russian fashion designer previously revealed his collaboration with the British brand during his Spring/Summer 2018 show in St. Petersburg back in June, and now, with the eight-piece capsule collection set to launch in two days, the anticipation is real. Although presented as part of his menswear collection, the gender-fluid line sees the fashion house’s iconic styles given a streetwear reinterpretation. Classic checks were faceted on the inner lining of bomber jackets, oversized shirts and trench coats, and to top it off, a bucket hat was designed in collaboration with famed British milliner Stephen Jones.

“Burberry has always symbolised the epitome of classic British style to me. Their timeless pieces are the perfect balance to modern streetwear creating a great mix. Our extended collaboration, from my spring/summer 18 collection to Burberry’s Here We Are zine and exhibition, really embodies what I feel is British culture today—a mix of iconic pieces and youth.” — Gosha Rubchinskiy

The Burberry x Gosha capsule line is just one of the many streetwear collaborations this past year, but one thing’s for sure: the pieces will be yet another hot-ticket collection.
