So long fanny packs, and hello neck wallets

The Autumn/Winter 2019 men’s fashion shows have come to a close with Paris, and the fashionable set were clad in #snuglife comfy threads to battle the chill. But what throughly grabbed our attention were the bags carried by well-dressed men. The ubiquitous fanny pack, a favourite of the recent seasons made plenty appearances. A handful were worn on the waist as the original anti-fashion trend but the most recurring style was worn across the shoulder and high on the chest. However, the standout accessory of the week were the neck wallets. Following Prada’s Pre-Fall 2018 show where models were seen donning the accessory on the runway, we find it no surprise that trend has taken. Like the fanny pack, the neck wallet is popularly associated with tourists and travel; fashion’s fascination with anti-trends and irony continues. Spotted on the scene: Jacquemus slim leather wallets from the designer’s debut men’s collection for Spring/Summer 2019. No neck wallet? No problem. Work with what you have as seen on Look 4 and 6. Shoulder bags worn around the neck, though we recommend to travel light for your spine’s sake.
