Trend alert: Matching co-ords, tonal dressing, his-and-her outfits spotted at New York Men’s Fashion Week

The mens fashion shows have commenced for Spring/Summer 2020 and with that, the fashionable legion flocked to the bustling streets of New York as they jumped from show venue to the next. As usual, we’ve got our eye out for fashion’s next big hit. A recurring trend we spotted over the 3 days: Matching coordinates. The gentlemen in Looks 1 through 3 made a loud statement in striking graphic prints while the lads in Looks 4 through 7 took a more subtle approach in block colours and tone-on-tone pairings.

We’ve got a soft spot for the sweet fellows in Looks 8 and 9, seen in matching outfits with their other halves. Here’s how you do his-and-her outfits everybody! First, break out of the identical outfit frame but set a unifying colour, theme or print and style it to your own. Start simple like the couple in Look 8, a flowy belted dress for her and a worker’s jacket for him, in the same crimson hue.
