Pitti Uomo 94’s street style guide to wearing hats

As the fashion week showgoers moved from London to Florence for Pitti Uomo 94, the polished sartorial looks also followed suit. Classic tailoring was spotted in abundance on the streets, but another fashion item that these gentlemen have in common, is the choice of accessory to complete their ensembles—hats. The men paired their suave looks with an array of toppers to shield themselves from the sun, but most importantly, to score extra style points. Worn with pantsuits and slouchy separates, the versatility of the wide-brimmed fedora is apparent—we love how it adds that bit of structure to any look. Coming in close second, are berets in different texture and colour. Our favourite? Look 16’s striped shirt-and-neckerchief look that exuded that hint of Parisian chic. The casual baseball cap remains a classic favourite, paired with day-off must-haves such as bomber jackets, camouflage print, denim and sneakers.
