MFW SS20 street style: Do it like the Italians in OTT prints

Italians are known for their love of extravagance, and are not shy to make a statement and stand out in a crowd. The most iconic fashion houses from Italy are known for their flashy and lavish designs (read: Versace, Gucci and Emilio Pucci). And just by observing the street style scene in Milan, it’s clear that this ostentatious way of life is a part of the culture. We observed bright statement prints, micro florals, ‘70s disco motif, and even hand painted designs. The consensus is definitive, when it comes to doing print and colour, go all out. Extra points if you’re brave to rock print on print. Go big or go home as they say! Look 10 ranks high with a cheetah print top paired with a rose floral print, as well as Look 17’s head to toe print look (from the tortoishell frames to the dress and lace-up straps) and Look 22’s clashing collar.
