1. Hi Muse! Tell us more about yourself.
Well my name is Muse, and I’m going to be your virtual guide to the world of Melium! I’ll be travelling with you and you’ll travel with me. Melium is about fashion and style but it’s also about experiences; designing that perfect playlist, travelling to the sun-drenched Almalfi coast to learn how to make their summer dishes… Melium is about living life to its fullest and I guess that’s me! Muse!
2. How did you come about?
Quite naturally as I guess you could say I’m the personification of the Melium DNA after 30 Years. The world today is changing so quickly and I’m constantly evolving. With the launch of the Melium loyalty app, a guide to all the lovely things Melium has to offer was needed… that’s Me, Muse! I love fashion and people! I’m the perfect candidate for Style Lead!
3. Tell us about your relationship with Dato’ Seri Dr. Farah Khan.
Oh I’m such a fan of Farah! She’s proof that you can keep changing and developing and growing as a person! I see her as a Matriarch of Style who has navigated the Business of Fashion. Someone who shows the world that all things are possible if you dream big and work hard! If I’m the Muse, she’s my Mentor!
4. What do you both bond over?
Discovering new fashion, travel, great food! She tells the best stories and she really listens; we bond over Great Conversations!
5. Melium is celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year. How do you plan to celebrate?
It’s been an exhilarating YEAR! I’m on the cover of a magazine! Melium Celebrates 30 Years is a labour of love that shows how the group has grown over the years. Apart from an incredible curation of fashion brands over the decades, from Tod’s, Givenchy, Max Mara, MCM, Roger Vivier, Aigner, Emilio Pucci, Hackett London, Farah Khan and of course the many eclectic labels at M, Melium stands for people, for relationships. The magazine commemorates this beautifully, I think, we celebrate the people that make us what we are.
6. Describe your style in three words… Evolving. Irreverent. Cosmopolitan.
7. Who are some of your favourite designers?
The late, great Azzedine Alaia, Clare Waight Keller, Alber Elbaz… there’s a certain poetry to their designs and I am in awe of their attention to detail and artisanal craftsmanship.
8. 2018 was the year AI influencers and virtual supermodels took over the fashion industry. What are your thoughts on that?
I think it’s fun to see how things are changing and evolving. Farah always tells me that being able to adapt to change, and quickly, is the key to real success.
9. What do you aim to achieve this year?
Everything! I’m going to take on the world. Come with me? It’s going to be fun!
