The Buro fashion team throws on some sparkle this holiday season

There’s no doubt that sparkle and shine are de rigueur when it comes to the year end festivities. A big fashion trend this season, think Gucci chainmail dress worn with a body chain encrusted with oversized crystals, Halpern’s ultra-sexy cocktail dresses, and Balmain’s glamourous gowns with a rock chick attitude, there’s no denying fashion’s predilection for all things shiny.

Glitter freckles aside, the easiest way on getting in on the trend is by picking out the right accessories. For Holiday 2018, Swarovski creative director, Nathalie Colin, was inspired by a frosted enchanted forest, “almost as if the snow has covered the entire collection, all icy and white,” she says. Botanical motifs abound, as seen in the pieces worn by Stephanie, accented with Swarovski crystals, while Joan opted for jewellery with circular motifs, bringing to mind frozen dew drops.

“This year we’re taking the time to embrace and share all the special little moments that put the sparkle into the festive season,” says Colin. “Brilliance for all is at the very heart our company. Our Holiday Collection brings a modern twist to the initial vision of our founder Daniel Swarovski, and his spirit shines through in glittering gifts designed to make all women feel and look even more bright and beautiful.”

Whether you choose to wear layers of simple filigree pieces, or opt for one standout piece, more is definitely more this holiday season. Bring on the festivities!
