Arm candy of the week: Longchamp x Mr. Bags' CNY 2019 collection
It's a babe
Following a highly successful collaboration last year, Longchamp is teaming up with Mr. Bags (aka Tao Liang) once again for a second capsule collection. And if you think the 2018 dog-themed pieces were cute, let's just say this year's designs are even more adorable. In conjunction with the Year of the Pig, the brand's Le Pliage Cuir pieces now come in the zodiac animal print, drawn in bold white lines on both sides of the bag—on the front, a curly tail; and a pair of pointed ears and eyes at the back. For that playful twist, flip open the bag flap and you'll notice a cheeky fart illustration under.
According to Mr. Bags, "Sometimes you feel sad, or bad, or tired, you open the flap and you can see the fart. The fart is not for everybody, it's just for yourself—you see it and you think 'oh my god, life is funny'." Aside from the pink or black lambskin material, this round, there's an eye-catching piece in the form of a transparent PVC in the mix, which is still very much on our style radar. The best part? Take a closer look and you'll notice the pig snout is in the form of a coin purse—talk about a two-in-one bag. The full leather collection was sold out in China during its pre-launch, so if that's any indication, it's better to act fast if you want to snag a piece of this oh-so-cute collab.
