Following the news of Gucci, Michael Kors and Jimmy Choo going fur-free, we’re happy to share more cruelty-free updates in the world of fashion. The Stan Smith sneakers by Adidas now have a vegan-friendly option by Stella McCartney. A lifelong vegetarian and advocate for cruelty-free fashion and sustainability, Stella McCartney doesn’t use any leather or fur in her designs, making the latest Stella #stansmith sneakers the perfect option for the conscious shopper.
The new kicks stay close to the original design with a few twists. Stan Smith’s face remains printed on the tongue of the right shoe while Stella’s portrait and signature adorn the left. Stars replace the punched 3-stripes that run down the side, while Stella McCartney’s logo, burgundy and blue stripe at the heel. The vegan leather shoe will be available for men and women.
