The yearly US Open tennis championships have officially ended with the Men’s Singles Finals earlier today. Currently ranked second in the world of tennis, Rafael Nadal took the win after a close match with Daniil Medvedev. As for the women’s, Serena Williams was expected to win on her home turf. A victory would mean a 24th Grand slam win, tieing her with tennis legend Margaret Court. Unfortunately, she’ll have to wait until next year at the Australian Open 2020 to make that accolade as she was defeated by Canadian Bianca Andreescu in the women’s finals.
The talent on court was matched with the celebrities that showed up to support the players. The tension and excitement was visibly seen on the famous faces that showed up during the weeks of the US Open 2019. Gigi Hadid, Priyanka Chopra and Meghan Markle did not hold back in their reactions while watching the matches. Celebrities, they’re just like us.
