The Undoing

Starring: Nicole Kidman, Hugh Grant, Edgar Ramirez, Noah Jupe

Season two sees the idyllic lives of Grace and Jonathan Fraser turn on its head when a violent death on one fateful night sparks a chain of unfortunate events. Amidst the chaos and public scrutiny, the pair scrambles to piece back the life they once had but are plagued by self-doubt every step of the way.

Starring: Myha’la Herrold, Marisa Abela, Harry Lawtey, David Jonsson, Nabhaan Rizwan, Conor MacNeill, Freya Mavor, Will Tudor

This exciting new series follows a group of young grads who all join the prestigious Pierpoint & Co in London. Fuelled by ambition, youth, romance, and drugs, the group strives to show their worth in the workplace, clueless to the high expectations of the mentors who have taken them under their wing. As the show explores the issues of gender, race, class, and privilege in the workplace, the Industry ultimately might just break these young starry-eyed kids.

Starring: Nicholas Pinnock, Joy Bryant, Indira Varma, Tyla Harris

Based on a true story, Aaron Wallace was wrongfully dealt a life sentence in prison. In his fight for freedom, he becomes a lawyer and begins litigating cases for other inmates while working to overturn his own sentence for the crime he did not commit.

Becoming You

When: 13 November

Where: Apple TV+

Narrated by Olivia Colman, Becoming You documents the first 2,000 days of the lives of 100 children from all around the world (from Nepal to Japan to Borneo). This global child development series will have you immersed in a child’s world as they learn to think, speak and move, from the time of their birth till they’re aged five. The story ultimately shows our shared humanity and how a person’s journey could as be as different as it’s similar. Somehow.

His Dark Materials, Season Two

When: 17 November

Where: HBO and HBO GO

Starring: Dafne Keen, Ruth Wilson, Amir Wilson, Ariyon Bakare, Andrew Scott, Ruta Gedmintas, Lin-Manuel Miranda

If you loved the 2007 movie, The Golden Compass, this is the perfect series for you! His Dark Materials is the revamped story of Lyra as she uncovers the deep hidden mysteries of the witches and alternate worlds. Season two begins with Lord Asriel opening a bridge to an unknown world, where he and Lyra venture to uncover more secrets.

Hillbilly Elegy

When: 24 November

Where: Netflix

Starring: Amy Adams, Glen Close, Gabriel Basso

Former Marine and current Yale Law School student, J.D. Vance, is on the verge of landing his dream job when he is forced to return home to deal with a family crisis. Due to the complex dynamics of his Appalachian family, J.D. has long tried to distance himself from his mother and her struggles with addiction. His return this time, however, marks the beginning of his journey of self-discovery as he’s fuelled by memories of his whip-smart grandmother.

The Flight Attendant

Starring: Kaley Cuoco, Michiel Huisman, Rosie Perez, Zosia Mamet, Michelle Gomez

If you are a fan of comedic dark thrillers, The Flight Attendant is the perfect show for you. Based on the novel of the same name by best-selling author Chris Bohjalian, the series banks on the premise of how a life can change drastically in just one night. After meeting a dashing young man on a flight while on duty, Cassandra wakes up to find herself in the wrong hotel, in the wrong bed, and worse, with a dead man. Unsure of the night’s events, she tries to find the answers while her life slowly unravels.

Breakthrough: Virus Fighters
