2024 Emmy Awards: Full winners list and highlights

On Monday, the best of the small screen arrived at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles to celebrate TV’s biggest night at the 2024 Emmy Awards. Hosted by comedian Anthony Anderson, the prestigious award comes in the thick of awards season after it was delayed in September 2023 due to the dual writers and actors strikes.

Throughout the night, the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards saw historic wins, moving speeches and nostalgic reunions with casts from fan-favourite TV shows. Continuing their winning streak from the 2024 Golden Globes, Succession, The Bear and Beef continued to sweep up awards, each of them winning the best series in their respective categories. Succession and The Bear—both shows about feuding families—led the night with six total wins, followed by Netflix’s Beef with five trophies.

The 2024 Emmy Awards also proved to be worth the wait due to several landmark wins. Notably, iconic superstar Elton John achieved EGOT status after receiving an award for his concert film, Elton John Live: Farewell From Dodger Stadium. Further, Abbott Elementary’s Quinta Brunson took home best actress in a comedy series, which marked the first time that a Black actress won in this category in over 40 years. Ali Wong and Steven Yeun also continued to make history by being the first actors of Asian descent to win best actor and actress in a limited series for the same show.

The night was also made all the more nostalgic and melancholy as casts from iconic TV shows such as Grey’s Anatomy, The Sopranos and Martin, performed skits on stage with the show’s set designs as backdrops and presented awards. Singer-songwriter Charlie Puth also performed in memory of actors who passed in 2023, including Matthew Perry, Andre Braugher and more.

Ahead, find the complete list of winners of the 2024 Emmy Awards below.
