#BuroLovesGiving Special: Catching up with Izrin Iz

How has 2015 been for you? What were some personal key highlights?

2015 has brought nothing but blessings to my family, business and health even though it was just moderate. While there were many life adventures that weren’t perfect, but there’s wisdom behind every flaw and mistake that I went through.

  1. The festive season is all about the spirit of giving. What would you most like to give this year and to whom?

This festive season, I’m handing down a special gift to my child’s nanny together with a holiday trip back to celebrate Christmas with her family and bear gifts for them. It is always nice to give back to someone who takes care of my family and home away from their own.

  1. Can you tell us what items you’ll be selling at the Buro Charity Market?

I’ll be selling a mix of my pre-loved clothing goods together with Innai & Innai Red sample pieces.

  1. What is the naughtiest thing you’ve done this year?

Exceeding my spending budget almost every month—something I need to rework come 2016.

  1. What is the nicest thing you’ve done this year?

I’d like to think everything I do this year is nice, except for the previous question.

  1. What are your plans for the festive season? Dream winter holiday destination?

I’m heading down to Melbourne for a family holiday, just in time for Boxing Day till right after New Years. My toddler appreciates parks, animals and the beach; hence we chose a summer holiday instead of a winter holiday. Although, I do hope to experience a white winter holiday on the Swiss alps for instance, this can only happen when my child is slightly older, just because he hates to be clothed in layers at the moment.

  1. 2016 is just around the corner—where will you be counting down this year?

I am hoping to catch the New Year fireworks at Alexandria Gardens or Federation Square in Melbourne.

  1. What are your New Year resolutions?

1. I need to snap myself out from procrastination. I’ve been putting a special business project buried in my mind for so long. It needs to come to a realisation in 2016.

2. Spend more time with people that matter and spend less time on social media.

3. Learn to cook all of mum’s recipes.

4. Save more, spend less.

5. Start a journal and pen down favourite phrases and captions that motivate me.

Don’t miss the Buro Charity Market, happening at Pavilion Centre Court this Thursday, 10 December from 12-5pm.
