Tokyo will soon be home to teamLab’s very own digital art museum

If you have had the pleasure of visiting one of teamLab’s many exhibitions around the world, you will be familiar with the mesmerising experience of immersing in a digital wonderland of art.

While teamLab is no stranger to permanent installations—the nearest ones being in Singapore—the upcoming space in Tokyo will mark the experimental Japanese art collective’s first museum, a 107,000 square-foot permanent exhibition and flagship facility. Located in Odaiba district’s Palette Town complex, the digital art museum will be named ‘Mori Building Digital Art Museum teamLab Borderless’ and is set to open its doors in the summer this year.

Details of the installations have yet to be unveiled, but if their previous works are of any indication, expect magical, interactive digital art to fill and move across the walls and floors of rooms.
