Take a virtual step into Van Gogh’s ‘The Bedroom’

Or paintings, if you will. The Dutch Post-Impressionist artist painted three similar paintings within two years—they were paintings of his bedroom in the Yellow House, Arles, and depicted simple interior and bright colours. His own title for this composition was simply The Bedroom.

Earlier this year, the Art Institute of Chicago recreated Van Gogh’s bedroom and put it up for rent on Airbnb, complete with outlines on the furniture and brush strokes to have you feel as if you’ve really stepped into the painting—it is still open for bookings (here). But if you aren’t making your way to Chicago anytime soon, here’s an alternative: Sokolovsky Ruslan has created and shared a 360 degree image of the bedroom. The image on Facebook has also been shared by the Van Gogh Museum’s official page.
