If you were in Singapore yesterday evening, you may have heard a commotion coming from Paragon’s Atrium. That was probably the sound of Yoona’s fans at Estée Lauder’s first-ever Beauty Sleep Lounge pop-up. Yoona, of course, needs no introduction. The K-pop idol rose to fame after debuting with Girls’ Generation in 2007 before going on to pursue a highly successful acting career and later landing the position of Estée Lauder’s Asia Pacific Ambassador in 2020. To celebrate the launch of the new pop-up, Yoona headed down our way for a special appearance at the event, giving us a sneak peek into her personal skincare journey with Estée Lauder and sharing some of her own beauty secrets.

The event was a soirée to remember, packed back-to-back with exciting zones to explore. What attracted you to collaborate with Estée Lauder?
“For Estée Lauder, the brand always thinks about how to make the world a more beautiful place by talking about recycling and how to use their resources in a circular way. So, based on this, I really think that the brand is great because we’re really spreading this amazing message through the brand.”
Can you tell us about your favourite Estée Lauder products and how they fit into your daily makeup and skincare routine?
“Obviously, it’s Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Serum. I use the serum before I sleep as the base for the rest of my skincare routine. Also, when I feel a little dry, like in autumn or winter, then I use the serum as a hydrating base before my makeup.”
What are you looking forward to the most on your trip to Singapore with Estée Lauder?
“I came down to Singapore almost five years ago and, the last time I came down, I was here for a fan meeting. So, this time I’m really excited to meet our fans and, obviously, I really want to visit the stores of Estée Lauder. Most importantly, though, I want to eat all the delicious food here!”
What has been the most rewarding moment of your multifaceted career?
“Instead of choosing one moment, the most rewarding feeling, I think, is whenever my fans show their love and support, cheering me on for my new challenges.”
