Join in on Urban Decay’s women-empowering global initiative, The Ultraviolet Edge

We can’t help but to respect beauty brands when they go all out with supporting a major cause that they feel strongly for. And in the case of Urban Decay, it’s women empowerment. From the products they create to causes they support, the Californian beauty brand has been a strong advocate for women’s rights since they were founded in 1996. Their global initiative, The Ultraviolet Edge, was founded in 2015 to support organisations that empower women. This year, the program will be expanded to select international markets, including the Women’s Global Empowerment Fund, which gives women the opportunity to rebuild their lives in post-war Uganda, and Kakenya Center for Excellence that helps educate and empower Maasai girls. Perhaps the most fitting icon to partner with Urban Decay for this initiative is Gwen Stefani, who also collaborated with the brand on releasing a line of beauty products late last year. 2016 marks the second year that the singer is partnering with the brand for this initiative.

But good news lie ahead: Urban Decay Malaysia will also be participating in The Ultraviolet Edge this year. An exclusive limited-edition shade of its best-selling Eyeshadow Primer Potion is available now in the Urban Decay freestanding store in Suria KLCC—100% of the purchase price will be donated to women’s empowerment nonprofit organisations. We’re alwyas all for beauty from within (and with an edge), so here’s to supporting women from across the globe who need help, education and any form of empowerment.
