Celebeauty: Hyram Yarbro has finally launched a skincare line, Rina Sawayama's Pride nails prove that the age of pastel manicures is over
This week has been quite a wild one—from the best in Pride-themed beauty looks to the celebrity skincare launch of the decade, here's what you missed this week!
Beauty YouTuber Skincare by Hyram launches 'Selfless by Hyram'
You heard that right—YouTube's biggest skinfluencer, Skincare By Hyram, is finally launching his very own skincare brand! Along with the brand announcement, Yarbro has also announced the very first product: The Retinol and Rainbow Algae Serum.
Created to fulfil both Yarbro's personal skincare philosophy and his drive to enact social change, the skincare line will be as kind to your skin as it is to the planet. The brand aims to address four of the biggest global issues—environment, health, empowerment, and education—starting with the environment and health pillars. The brand will be working with their partners at the Rainforest Trust and the Thirst Project to drive change with respect to climate and water crises specifically through the purchase of every product.
The highly-anticipated brand has been created in collaboration with The Inkey List co-founders Colette Laxton and Mark Curry, and is set to launch at Sephora globally both in-store and online on June 24th.
Lil Nas X channels Prince for Pride Month
The curly mullet, the graphic cat eye, the white-rimmed waterline—what's not to love? The 'Montero (Call Me By Your Name)' singer sported this absolute showstopper of a look (complete with moustache and rainbow nails!) as part of a Pride Month campaign with Ugg.
Rina Sawayama kicks off Pride Month with a fitting manicure
If you're looking for a real hot girl summer manicure, you've found it. The singer shared a few snaps of herself dress in Pride-themed Coach from head-to-toe, but the thing that caught our eye was her M&M-coloured manicure.
You heard it here first, pastels are out for the summer—it's all about bright, bold colours that just won't quit!
Zoë Kravitz debuts her new tattoo
Spoiler alert: It's a snake, and it's not even her first one. The new ink marks the actress' 56th tattoo, and it depicts a non-descript snake coiling around an anatomically correct heart, placed in the centre of her right forearm. The artwork is the work of trusted celebrity tattoo artist Dr Woo, who despite not being a real medical professional, does create some consistently gorgeous linework pieces.
Willow Smith gets her very first tattoo
Speaking of Dr Woo, Kravitz isn't the only celeb to get inked by him this week—Willow Smith also debuted her own Dr Woo linework tattoo on an episode of Red Table Talk. The singer got a matching tat with mum Jada Pinkett-Smith and grandmother Adrienne "Gammy" Banfield-Norris during an intimate session with the tattoo artist.
The tattoo depicts a lotus flower blooming in three stages. According to Smith, "the lotus represents spiritual enlightenment, and we hear the saying, 'Through the mud grows the lotus'. From the bud to the blossom to the bloom, I feel like [the artwork] expresses the spiritual journey but also the three of us: I'm the youngest, my mom is the middle, and Gam is the fully bloomed lotus."
Machine Gun Kelly supersizes his manicure for the iHeartRadio Music Awards to match Megan Fox
MGK is no stranger to matching manicures with his lady, but this time around he decided to go big—the rapper opted to sport a mismatched, 3-inch manicure on just his left hand, and it may well be our favourite beauty moment from the whole evening.
The supersized manicure already had an array or jewels, spikes, and sparkles to sway us, but the details that won us over were the pink accents in the nail artwork that perfectly matched Megan Fox's outfit.
Demi Lovato is the latest celeb to sport a mullet
Couple manicures weren't the only bits of beauty buzz from the iHeartRadio Music Awards—the evening was rife with hair transformations too! In particular, Demi Lovato's pixie-mullet hybrid stole the show. The singer has been sporting a pixie cut for the last few months, so it's nice to see them switch it up.
Of course, they may just be growing out their pixie and finding new ways to style it until they can, in which case—thank you for the pointers, Demi!
