Dior releases its most comprehensive makeup range yet — the Backstage collection

40 foundation shades, two eye palettes, two eyebrow palettes, one face sculpting palette, along with a highlighter palette and lip palette — this whopping lineup marks the latest Dior Backstage makeup collection that will pretty much blow your mind (and perhaps your pockets too). Not to forget, 14 brushes for the eyes and face for flawless, foolproof application. If you’ve always wanted to score that picture-perfect makeup look spotted on models gliding down the runways of fashion week, you can now do so with this extensive makeup collection.

“I redesigned all the indispensable items in my makeup bag, both for makeup artists and for every woman who wants a professional result with intuitive products and easy-to-use tools,” says Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup. “These are efficient products that provide a professional result but are simple to apply.”

41 shades of Face and Body Foundation for every skin tone

e weren’t kidding when we said that it is “universal”. Catered for six different skin undertones (whether rosy or olive), this fluid, buildable foundation is waterproof and heat- and humidity- resistant. Philips calls it “Runway Proof” for its ability to survive all conditions, and its precision tip allows you to apply a concise amount of foundation from the first squeeze of the bottle. Best part? You can use it on your décolletage or shoulders too.

 

Handy palettes for the eyes, lips and face

Whether you’re aiming for glowing skin, chiseled contours, or a bold lip, this arsenal of palettes will give you a pigmented, long-wearing finish no matter how you use it. “I wanted technical products that were anything but intimidating. These are easy shades and all the colours in the palettes can be combined, adapting to and enhancing every woman, regardless of skin tone. In each case, the shades are arranged from the softest to the strongest and each product’s functions are explained on the packaging,” says Philips.

For a radiant complexion, try the Glow Face Palette with its mother-of-pearl pigments, and don’t forget to finish off with the Contour Palette to sculpt your best facial features. Opt for the Lip Palette that has three shades each of volumising gloss, satin lipstick and matte shades — all are multifunctional and can be used as a base, plumper, liner or lipstick.
