Charli XCX for Make Up For Ever’s latest campaign is #makeupgoals

It’s halfway through the day and your cobalt blue eyeliner is running already, casting blue smears around your eyes that look like you’ve got bruises instead of eye makeup on.

Looking for an eyeliner that stays put in extreme conditions—whether humidity and heat—is a major challenge for some of us, so what better brand than Make Up For Ever to recreate their iconic eye pencil with a new high-performance formula? The brand’s new AQUA XL line sees an artistic collab with English icon and pop singer Charli XCX, who will be using Make Up For Ever’s products in all of her performance and artistic creations.

There are a few good reasons why we’re waxing lyrical about this eye pencil. It’s not just waterproof and long-wearing, the highly-pigmented formula has been tested in extreme conditions and vouched by various performers, be it swimmers (immersed in 30°C water for three hours, no less) or stage performers. The AQUA XL’s waterproof formula actually consists of a transparent gel that stabilizes pigments in a shiny envelope to provide ultimate coverage and an intense colour. If you’re one who loves experimenting with a bold palette of eye pencil hues, this one’s made for you with its 20 flashy shades in a variety of finishes, including metallic, matte, satiny, iridescent and diamond.

Want Charli XCX’s tropical-inspired eye makeup look? Here’s how you can do it:

1.     Apply AQUA XL Iridescent Lagoon Green I-32 on the lower lash line from the inner to outer corners towards the temples.

2.     Draw an eyeliner line using AQUA XL Matte Pastel Yellow M-40 along the upper lash line.

3.     Apply AQUA XL Matte Pastel Blue M-26 right above the eyeliner along the crease of the upper eyelid. Add on definition with a few good coats of mascara.

Make Up For Ever AQUA XL Eye Pencils (RM125) are available at Make Up For Ever Pro Boutiques in Sephora Starhill and Gurney Plaza, Make Up School in Sephora KLCC, and in Sephora stores nationwide.
