Chanel has been reinventing the lip colour game with the Rouge Coco range — from hybrid lipstick pens that offer colour, care and comfort to high-shine, non-sticky lip glosses that are replacing matte liquid lipsticks in our beauty arsenal. This month, a new addition is introduced to the Rouge Coco range once more: The Rouge Coco Lip Blush.
The Rouge Coco Lip Blush has a dual purpose that quite evidently alludes to its name. This two-in-one product offers a pigmented hue for both your lips and complexion, and is pretty much all you need in your to-go makeup bag for a handful of reasons. Boasting a soft and silky gel formula that isn’t difficult to blend or melt into your skin or lips, a dose of colour is imparted upon application. The lip blush formula has a Hydraboost complex made of jojoba, mimosa and sunflower oils to moisturise and nourish the skin, alongside a coconut emollient to soften the lips, and a trade of peptides for a photo-worthy plumping effect. The best part? You don’t have to reapply the Rouge Coco Lip Blush on your cheeks throughout the day as the oils doesn’t evaporate on the skin.
Tip: Use the flat part of the applicator to apply the colour on the curve of the lips, while the tip for the contours. For the cheekbones, swipe gently for a tinge of colour, but three dots to increase intensity — then pat it with your fingertips to blend it into the skin. Et voilà — a wonderfully luminous matte finish!
