A glance at a one-of-a-kind container situated next to our event space as we pulled into the drop-off area drummed up our excitement for the #BuroBeautyParty. Decked out in an enigmatic shade of black (replete with giant balloons by the side, billowing in the wind), the container gave our guests an inkling of what to expect at our exclusive event with YSL Beauty. All hands were on deck in preparation of this two-day event, in celebration of two new additions to the YSL Beauty Volupté lipstick range. Held at The International Gallery at Alya Kuala Lumpur, our “shoot-party” concept was taken to a whole new level this time around.

The event featured both outdoor and indoor elements—the former, the said container that was beautifully decked with eye-catching backdrops alongside all the colours of the two Volupté lipsticks; the latter, a snazzy gallery space that included a mirrored room with balloons and a stereo-inspired photowall. On our guest list across two days were 40 stunning personalities—from social media influencers and singers to actresses and TV hosts, including Daiyan Trisha, Puteri Aishah, Jasmine Suraya Chin, Ju Wei Teoh, Nadiyah Sahab, Josephine Yap, Joey Leong and more.

Upon arrival, our Friends of Buro made their way into the gallery to check out the latest offerings from YSL Beauty—the iconic Rouge Volupté Shine in 12 new shades, and the brand new Volupté Plump-in-Colour in eight bold colours. A bevy of hairstylists and makeup artists got the girls looking photo-ready quickly, and shortly after, it was time for our stars to flaunt their best (and super shiny) pout in front of the camera.
While some of the girls were making the most of their individual beauty shots indoors at the gallery, the rest were having their fair share of fun in the YSL Beauty container outdoors. A container that’s air-conditioned with more than five different Insta-worthy backgrounds to work with? Needless to say that our guests were more than excited to snap away.

In between shoots, the girls mingled and explored the space while partaking in canapés and bubbly (because it’s never really too early for champagne.) As the event came to a close in the late afternoon, we bade our #BuroBeautyParty stars goodbye—but not before gifting them with a range of beauty products and a chic, exclusive lip box by YSL Beauty.
