Just hot off the runway, Toga AW16’s beauty look was all about fresh faces but with an edge. Hair was kept centred parted with a few loose strands framing the face, while strong brows and a glossy eye were the focus of the entire beauty look. Buro 24/7 goes backstage to find out NARS makeup artist Sada Ito’s beauty #inspo:
1. Tell us a little bit more about your beauty look for Toga AW16.
It’s a little fresh, nothing too crazy or aggressive. It’s bare and very natural.
2. And the natural eyebrows is a trend this season?
The eyebrow’s shape is strong and straight; I want it a little weird, because anything else is usually too pretty. It’s unique, kind of strong, but at the same time it’s a little bit feminine. I want to make eyebrows almost like the accessory. The colour is natural as well.
3. What did you use for the eye makeup?
It’s just highlighting the eyes with a dash of gloss over a cream shadow. Just a little of gloss goes a long way as it brings out your eyes and gives your makeup a bold look.
4. What was your inspiration for this look?
It’s actually connected to the collection’s inspiration, which had a lot of natural elements. It’s a strong but wild look, kind of like a wild beauty.
