First off, the skin is left as bare as possible. Gallimore prepped the skin with NARS Optimal Brightening Concentrate and moisturising cream, using a little bit of tinted moisturiser and concealer only when needed. “We’re trying to be as real as we can”, says Gallimore. “Lips are balmed, and brows are groomed with just clear gel. No mascara—we’re not even curling the lashes, so it’s just this tiny little accent on the eye”.
Using the NARS Kohliner (for longer staying power), the accent is done on the inner two-thirds of the eye, giving it a slight elongation on the inner corner rather that the outside. The result has an “ever so slightly sci-fi feel to it, but is still very young, beautiful and fresh”. Minimalistic with a futuristic edge, the look complemented David Koma AW16’s geometric aesthetics with ease.
