Beauty Buzz: New Launches, Stores, and Campaigns To Look Forward to This July 2026

Aesop Malaysia opens at Mid Valley Southkey in Johor Bahru

For its latest chapter, Aesop brings its coveted selection of beauty offerings to a new abode in Johor Bahru’s Mid Valley Southkey Mall. The new space draws inspiration from the traditional Malay home, boasting quintessentially Aesopian interiors that incorporate repurposed packaging into its architecture: think bars of soap as tiles, cardboard boxes and structural materials, and pages from the Aesop Book as wallpaper.

The store is sectioned into four key areas: The Bathroom, dedicated to body, hair, and personal care and clad in walls made from Aesop soap bars; the Living Room, the home of Aesop’s fragrance offerings; the Bedroom, a space for the replenishment of the skin and psyche alike; and the Kitchen, where the brand’s Parsley Seed formulations are displayed front-and-centre.

YSL Beauty brings its global Abuse Is Not Love program to Malaysia

The latest initiative from YSL Beauty brings its Abuse Is Not Love program locally to help combat Intimate Partner Violence (IPV). Through the initiative, the brand will provide critical funding and resources to support the All Women’s Action Society (AWAM), one of Malaysia’s leading advocacy organisations for women and survivors of gender-based violence.

To boost education on our shores, the programme is kicking off with a dedicated three-part series on Maggy Wang’s Head Over Heels podcast exploring modern relationships, emotional well-being, and IPV through candid discussions with content creators and experts. Among the featured guests includes actress Nia Atasha, creator Saffron Sharpe, and AWAM Services Officer Zaireen Nasir Khan, who will be sharing both their lived experiences and professional perspectives on recognising the warning signs of abuse. The first episode of the podcast series drops on 9 July 2026 and will be released on the Head Over Heels Youtube and Spotify channels.

Beyond the launch, YSL Beauty is driving a broader regional commitment across Malaysia and Singapore to equip employees, consumers, and communities alike with the knowledge and tools to identify the nine warning signs of abuse.

Breakouts, begone! The Ordinary’s latest campaign tackles one of the most common skin conditions globally: acne. The new campaign shines a spotlight on the skin through a sober, unfiltered lens, encouraging an unstigmatised, clear understanding of blemish-prone skin. In the words of the brand, “everyone’s face is a pore playground”! Breakouts are a dynamic skin condition that evolves, shifts, heals, and returns—a cycle that can be broken with the right care and routine.

Here, the campaign highlights how The Ordinary’s offerings can help to support the skin, from salicylic acid to sulfur to niacinamide and beyond. Find out more when the Pore Playground campaign launches globally on 28 July 2026.
