RMCO: All the beauty salons in KL and PJ that have reopened—and the SOPs you should adhere to

As we phase into the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) today, beauty salons have begun reopening albeit with a strict set SOPs enforced to ensure that the COVID-19 pandemic will be contained. If you, like us, are stoked that you can finally get your lashes, nails, and hair(!) done after more than 70 days of staying home, scroll down to find out which salons are officially reopened today.

But first, be a responsible customer with by abiding to these SOPs while we’re still under RMCO:

It’s important to make an appointment first as walk-in customers are only allowed if there are no customers in the salon. It is compulsory for those in high-risk groups (children under the age of 12 and senior citizens aged 60 and above) to make an appointment beforehand. Those aged 60 and above can only visit hair salons between 9am to 11am.

Ensure that you are in the pink of health (read: your body temperature shouldn’t exceed 37.5ºC) before entering the salon and practise social distancing when you can (while seated in the waiting area). Also, note that your appointment session—hairdressing, mani-pedi, lash services and facial treatments—is only limited to one hour.

Services that are banned include cleaning and trimming of nasal hair, head, shoulder and body massages at hair salons, and foot massages.
