After the Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice Awards headlined the first two Sundays of 2020, it’s now time for the third biggest film ceremony of the year: Screen Actors Guild Awards. As usual, you can always count on Hollywood’s biggest names to pull out all the stops when it comes to their red carpet ensembles, from the most impeccable makeup to head-turning gowns and the accessories. Unlike her big and bold gown at the recent Golden Globes, Jennifer Lopez opted for a chic black dress by Georges Hobeika this round, but she made sure to still give an equally statement-making finish with earrings, necklace, bracelets and rings from Harry Winston that are made of around 200-carat worth of diamonds. The estimated price? Over USD$9 million. Charlize Theron also opted to accessorise her muted Givenchy gown with diamonds, but instead of wearing the bracelet on her wrist, she pulled a surprising move by styling it down her hair parting because she didn’t have time to touch up her roots before the event—a genius move, in our opinion. Michelle Williams, too, wore her Forevermark diamond brooch in her hair, and left the rest of her look simple and sophisticated. The dazzling rock aside, we also love the pop of colours that elevated some of the get-ups, including Danai Gurira‘s rainbow Bvlgari necklace and Scarlett Johansson‘s Taffin drop earrings.
