#BossGirl: Interview with FashionValet co-founder Vivy Yusof

She’s only in her late 20s but Vivy Yusof has built a fashion business empire (with her then-boyfriend-now-husband as her partner-in-crime) in the span of five years and was the first to start a fashion e-commerce site in Malaysia. FashionValet has since taken its online business offline as well by opening its first brick-and-mortar store in Bangsar Village II and the brand is going places, especially with an upcoming store in bustling Orchard Road in Singapore. Following the success of FashionValet, Vivy then went on to produce her own line of scarves called dUCk scarves and a stationery brand called dUCk stationery. That’s not all, the ambitious entrepreneur has a reality TV show called Love, Vivy which previews today and premiering next week on Astro that showcases what goes on behind the scenes of her day-to-day life.

What started as a blog that stemmed from her passion for writing, Vivy would never have dreamed that ProudDuck would lead her to where she is today, as she revealed in an interview with us. As a local female figure who has shown that nothing is impossible and that women can  juggle between a career and motherhood, Vivy Yusof is an inspiring example of a #BossGirl—which is what we’re celebrating this month! To kickstart our #BuroBossGirl series for April, we drove the FashionValet co-founder around town in a sexy black BMW 528i M Sport (or as we like to call it: our BuroBMW) thanks to BMW Malaysia to have a chat about everything under the sun—literally. From their recent success with attaining Series B funding to the origins of the name duck to a cosmetics brands in the pipeline to her upcoming reality TV show, Vivy Yusof tells it all in the video below.
