Keys to rocking MCM Fall/Winter 2017 featuring the De Fam girls
No two people are the same; no two MCM bags are identical. From the moment it leaves its post, each bag takes on the stride and swagger of its owner. Designed as a companion to the urban nomad, MCM's universal appeal is its ability to shine no matter where it's plugged.
The typically unabashed presence of the brand is reigned in by the arrival of fall. Colours are muted, monograms more discreet. Key patterns comprise of camouflaged motifs translated with modern liberties. On set, three girls whose every stride brims with swagger took on the best of MCM Fall/Winter 2017. Sophia, Azira, and Cik Manggis of popular local girl group, De Fam, demonstrate how their favourite MCM silhouettes work with different styles and personas.
Azira wears the mini Milla tote in coral blush, Sophia wears the Stark backpack in pink blush, and Cik Manggis wears the medium Boston in loden green.

As much as I default to my favourite white button-downs on days off, I adore rocking up to events and performances in something really modern and edgy. It's important to have an identity but at the same time be brave enough to experiment with fashion. That is why I really appreciate MCM's daring riff on classical luxury. Likewise, as much as I love getting glammed up, during my downtime I think a denim, slouchy tee, and bomber combo is unbeatable. I could throw one of MCM's signature backpacks into the mix and I'd be good to go. I don't dress for the opinions of others; being true to what you stand for is key.

When music and fashion collide, a whole different atmosphere comes to life. De Fam is all about bringing together a sense of cool and class. At this year's music-infused Electric Run event, we had a blast performing alongside international artist, Silentó. And besides the music we made, our outfits by a local designer really encapsulated who we are. Experimental silhouettes, graphic motifs, metallic elements; we embrace streetwear with elevated purpose—not too different from the MCM perspective.
