All the more reason for you to run that extra mile

Earlier this year, we introduced you to the adidas PureBOOST X—a running shoe for women, by women. Designed with the female athlete in mind, this is a running shoe that features a petite and sleek form-fitting silhouette, hugging the contours of the female foot for a snug, adaptive fit. Coupled with a stretch mesh upper, the shoe supports and flatters the foot while providing ventilation to keep you cool and comfortable on your runs.

The PureBOOST X merges high performance and style seamlessly with a variety of designs and colourways. Adidas has recently just launched four new colours: Ray Red, Ice Mint, Footwear White and Core Black.

Buro's take on the PureBOOST X: We took them out for a 5km run in KLCC Park with the good folks from adidas last week. The first time I put them on, the snug fit was a slightly foreign sensation to me. But as I started walking around and warming up in them, I got used to it and I see why they designed it that way—the floating arch provided great comfort and support, and the shoe was incredibly lightweight, almost like you have nothing on. The BOOST midsole also feels really plush and comfortable. I would say they are perfect for short-distance runs (like the 5km one that we did), but the rather high back takes time breaking into, so just make sure you have high enough socks to help you clock in those extra kms.
