1. Biji-biji X Nakakoma Orimono Mini Fest at Me.reka Makerspace, 1pm-10pm, 13-15 Oct

An advocate of upcycling waste materials, Biji-biji Ethical Fashion’s next big project is a collaboration with Japan’s Nakajima of Nakakoma Orimono to design a collection of clothes and bags – all made from gorgeous vintage kimonos and Biji-biji’s signature seat belt and upcycled felt. The collection will be revealed for the first time at this Mini Fest where there will also be several workshops revolving around both Malaysian and Japanese traditions such as learning to make upcycled kimono coasters, batik-making, a kimono wearing and tea ceremony session.

2. Under Armour’s National Sports Day 2017 at Pavilion KL’s Main Entrance, 8pm-12.45am, 13 Oct

Enjoy back-to-back Lean (outdoor cycling) and Mean (HIIT circuit training) workout sessions accompanied by a live DJ. Conducted by Hiit2Fit, participants are entitled to join two sessions.

3. Watercolour Desserts with Black Milk Project at CzipLee Malaysia, 10.30am-1.30pm, 14 Oct

Learn to paint a variety of kuih-muih with some tips on how to make your painting ‘pop’ as well as the basics of painting with watercolours and simple sketching techniques. You’ll go home with your final drawing in a frame, kuih drawings printed on postcards, a RM50 cash voucher from Cziplee and 10% off all purchases.

4. Manduka Pink Out Yoga with Dian Lee at Be Urban Wellness, 9.30am-10.45am, 14 Oct

Let Dian guide you through a 75-minute Hatha yoga class accompanied by the serene vibrations from an alchemy crystal bowl sound bath. All proceeds will go to the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia.

5. Publika Art Week, 12pm-6pm, 14-15 Oct

The mall and the eight galleries it houses will be collaborating to bring visitors a host of exciting exhibitions featuring local and young artists. Don’t worry about getting lost as there’s a gallery tour which you can follow with the nifty help of a route map. 

In addition, Saturday will see a speed painting competition while Sunday is a special ‘Sun Comes Up’ Charity Art Jam in partnership with Warner Music. The latter will see 10 artists create their own masterpieces inspired by positivity and the song Sun Comes Up by Rudimental featuring James Arthur.

6. Learn How to Make a Mojito Sunday at The Attic Bar, 6pm onwards, 15 Oct

Besides learning the basics to making a mojito, you can get the drink in question for RM25 nett all night long. There’ll also be a barbecue party and an open mic session.
