Your guide to this year’s must-try mooncakes in KL
It’s as good as it looks
With our Malaysian-inspired feasts out of the way, the next big celebration on our list is the Mid-Autumn Festival that calls for delicious mooncakes and bringing family and friends together on the 15th of the eighth lunar month. While it used to traditionally be round pastries with fillings such as egg yolk, lotus seed paste and nuts, all fitted in a classic square box, many restaurants of today have not only evolved the taste and texture of the mooncakes, but the packaging as well.
