Your food guide to a happy Christmas at Pavilion KL

If you’re spending the holiday in town this season, Pavilion KL is the place to be. From the “snow” experience to the tallest Swarovski tree in Asia, it is decked with merry festivities and events to keep you in high spirits this year-end. But to fuel a day full of activities, and to regain energy after, a good feast is in order—we’ve got just the list to get you going:

The Pressroom Bistro

This festive season, The Pressroom Bistro has a delectable Christmas Menu on the tables for your feasting pleasure. Available from 24-27 December, the three-course meal starts with an appetiser of Foie Gras with compressed apples, panna grattato and house chutney, followed by a main of Rolled Turkey Breast served with pistachio, cranberries and vegetables confit, and rounds off wonderfully with the not-so-traditional Christmas Pudding Semifreddo.

Morganfield’s

Known as the “Home of Sticky Bones”, Morganfield’s is where you get good ol’ fashioned barbequed pork ribs with a side of charming Southern hospitality. This Christmas, go with the Oinky Christmas Set for a hearty, meaty dose of food fare, or opt for the Land and Sea Christmas Set and have the best of both worlds on the table. Traditional Carrot Cake with ice cream is served with both sets to end your meal on a sweet note.

Chakri Palace

Take the road less travelled—have a sumptuous meal of Thai cuisine this festive season. Chakri Palace has come up with a special set menu to go with the festivities of the month, comprising of classic dishes like traditional Thai pandan chicken and sizzling work fried beef, and a refreshing dessert of watermelon and basil with vanilla ice cream. Our top pick? Salty and savoury, the wing beans with salted egg and chicken kapi sauce is a fusion delight to behold.

La Bodega

The warm and welcoming atmosphere at La Bodega makes it one of the best spots in town for a good old hangout. A pioneer of the tapas scene in KL, it is serving up Christmas menus with a Spanish flair this festive season. From poached quail eggs, salmon and seaweed caviar on mini English muffins for breakfast, to turkey with truffled baby potatoes for dinner, rest assured you’ll be walking away a very happy camper after the whole gastronomic ordeal.
