5 New cocktail bars to check out in KL for your next boozy night out
With Malaysia slowly resuming business as usual (as far as “usual” goes in a post-pandemic era), our local F&B establishments are gradually picking up speed again—much to our delight and for the betterment of the economy.
Over the past few months, new cafes, restaurants, and bars have mushroomed around the Klang Valley, making urbanites spoilt for choice (as if we weren’t already) on where to drink and dine. If you’re looking for the latest cocktail joints in town for a few pick-me-ups, consider adding these new locations to your bar hop.
Shin Chew Kee Cold Drink Store
Located along the same row as the famous gin-based cocktail bar Pahit, Shin Chew Kee Cold Drink Store is the namesake of the historical neighbourhood it calls home. The hidden bar features a rustic setting that preserves the colonial architecture of the heritage row, while offering a modern twist with its cocktail menu. It prides itself in tea-infused cocktails—or tea-tails, if you like—accompanied by a food pairing menu to complete the experience.
