#BuroEats: 7 New cafes and restaurants in KL to visit for March 2019
March right into these new eateries
1. Super Boring Club, Jalan Mesui
If a Korean BBQ restaurant and a Japanese izakaya decided to make a baby, it'd be a Super Boring Club. And yet, on a serious note, it is anything but. Serving a wild menu of delicious dishes and playful cocktails, the pork-free restaurant would certainly deliver their promise of a good time. Must tries include the Tori Garlic Chicken and Sake Lychee.

2. Cafe Comma, Mont Kiara
Tucked along Jalan Duta Kiara is an alfresco cafe with a mini garden-like setting and a menu of colourful and refreshing bites. Think smoothie and salad bowls, colourful tacos and juices and of course, variations of coffee.

Telephone: 011 2692 6539
3. La Moon, TTDI
If you loved the authentic Thai flavours you found at Erawan, you might want to shift your focus to La Moon where its former chef, Chef Korn Yodsuk, has made a new home for his culinary talents. When you're there, don't forget to order the cockles curry—many have developed an addiction for its irresistible taste.
Psst... Even our Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his wife, Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali has recently paid the restaurant a visit.
Address: 2, Jalan Wan Kadir, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, 60000 Kuala Lumpur
*It's located on the ground floor of Menara LGB
Opening hours: 12pm - 9.30pm
Telephone: 012 289 5575
4. Zoe, Bangsar
Along the other quieter side of Bangsar that is Jalan Kemuja is a new contender for a spot on your favourite places to eat. The menu is but a humble and an ever-changing one, depending on the time of day you visit. For lunch, there's only one option for the main and dessert. The former being part of a set lunch that features khao soi, northern Thai curry noodles. And yet, no patron has ever had anything bad to say about it. Rich and aromatic, you'll be glad you don't have to choose. By night, the menu takes a different turn towards the West - specifically, Italian. Generally, comfort food.
Address: 42A, Jalan Kemuja, Bangsar, 59000 Kuala Lumpur
Wed - Sun
11.30am - 2.30pm
6pm - 10.30pm
Telephone: 012 708 8643
5. The Puntry by Pun's Ice Cream, Seputeh
Pun's Ice Cream first started as a supper club-style ice cream parlour at a home in Bangsar, and its flavours were so good (and its names for them so punny), its name spread pretty quickly. Fast forward almost half a year later, they've officially moved to a new spot where everyone can visit. Some notable flavours to order: Haw Flakes, Rum & Raisin, Malaysian Kopiko. Go on weekends if you want to try their chicken with waffles.
Address: 5, Jalan Robson, Taman Persiaran Desa, Seputeh, 50460 Kuala Lumpur
Check their Facebook for updated opening hours. They're closed on Mondays and Tuesdays though.
Telephone: 017 333 3883
6. Gooddam, SS2
Located at the same "hub" as one of the places we featured in last month's #BuroEats, this one, however, serves modern Italian fare. Gooddam, however, is different from your usual slice of Italian restaurants but rather, dives deeper to create its own identity while taking inspiration from a specific region of Italy—Piedmont. Dishes are beautifully plated. Flavours are delicately balanced. Oh, Gooddam!
Address: Lot B-G-07, The Hub SS2, 19 Sentral, Jalan Harapan, Seksyen 19, 46300 Petaling Jaya
Opening hours: 6.30pm - 10pm, closed on Tues
7. Ahh-Yum by Kampong Kravers, Damansara Heights
For those looking for a new Instagram-worthy cafe, look no further than Ahh-Yum by Kampong Kravers. Yes, the same brand that you probably bought a curry puff or two from before. The cafe serves a wide variety of Malaysian favourites, ranging from nasi lemak to dim sum sets to nyonya laksa.
Address: 73, Jalan Setia Bakti, Bukit Damansara, 50490 Kuala Lumpur
Opening hours: 8.30am - 10pm, closed on Sun
Telephone: 03 2011 2530
