While there are no short of afternoon tea options around town, you’ll find that most, if not all, of them are indoors—this is not one of them. With ‘Afternoon Tea on the Lawn’, The Majestic Hotel brings their signature English afternoon indulgence to the refreshing outdoors for a change.
Set up over the lawn on the second floor facing the original Majestic Wing and fronting the heritage building, enjoy a selection of tea treats with a grand view overlooking the historical mile of Kuala Lumpur. The beautiful old KL railway station is just right across the road. Adding to the tranquil charm is a pair of musicians on-location, playing familiar classic tunes that suit the setting just right.
On the menu is an equal mix of sweet and savoury delights, including finger sandwiches, scotch eggs, cakes, pastries, and freshly baked scones served with jam and clotted cream. The afternoon tea also includes a ‘tea-tale’ of your choice, where you can pick from a series of innovative and refreshing tea-infused cocktails and mocktails by Johnnie the barman. If you are able to catch Johnnie for a chat—and to thank him for his delicious concoctions—you might even luck out with an interesting story or two from the industry veteran.
