Uniqlo's first global flagship in Southeast Asia spans three levels and covers 2,700 square metres in floor space

If you've been to Uniqlo's flagship store in Ginza, Tokyo and marveled at the whopping 350 in-store mannequins, you can now take a trip down to the Lion City for a similar experience. Uniqlo's first global flagship store in Southeast Asia will open in Orchard Central shopping mall, Singapore on 2 September 2016, with its concept "U+S and The World".

"Uniqlo Orchard Central will be a unique store for the region, providing a new shopping experience for customers. With its vibrant creative scene, Singapore is the ideal location for us to showcase our LifeWear concept through the eyes of the local community," said Taku Morikawa, Uniqlo Southeast Asia CEO. "We hope that through our work with highly dedicated Singaporean individuals and groups, we will be able to turn this space into a platform where creative ideas can be expressed and shared with others."

The store's concept "U+S and The World" takes inspiration from the words "Uniqlo + Singapore" alongside the Japanese retailer's aim to share the creativity and culture of Singapore with the rest of the world. The 2,700-square metre space will hold the full assortment of LifeWear on its iconic rotating mannequins and include 300 digital displays throughout (the most in any Uniqlo store). A standout feature is the dedicated UT section on Level 1 that will showcase exclusive UT designs from popular collaborations such as i am OTHER by Pharrell Williams and new Disney Collection City Logo UTs, including an exclusive Singapore design of Mickey Mouse with the iconic mascot, Merlion.
