The Fashion Awards 2017: Who are the nominees?

Following last year’s extravagant event at the Royal Albert Hall in London, this year, the British Fashion Council will once again be partnering up with Swarovski for the 2017 Fashion Awards on the 4th of December.

Nominees wise, there were a number of repeated names on the list; Loewe’s creative director Jonathan Anderson topped the list with the most nominations—four—for two years in the row; Alessandro Michele of Gucci is nominated for Accessories Designer of the Year (which he won in 2016); and Gigi and Bella Hadid are once again competing head-to-head for the Model of the Year prize. There were also quite a few newcomers on the list: Kaia Gerber, who just made her runway debut during SS18 Fashion Month (in 18 shows, to be exact) is already in the running for the Model of the Year award; Fenty Puma by Rihanna will be a strong contender for Vetements, who won the Urban Luxe Brand Awards last year; and Raf Simons, who has brought a breath of fresh air to Calvin Klein since he joined as its creative director last year.
