Salvatore Ferragamo's AW16 campaign shows us how to live the good life
Joie de vivre
Want to know how to wallow in the splendour of everyday life, peppered with a generous dose of luxury? Salvatore Ferragamo's latest Autumn/Winter 2016 ad campaign shows us how to do it effortlessly, celebrating in the most Italian of all activities—revelling in luxury. This season, acclaimed photographer Craig McDean takes on the spirit of today's cultivated traveller while depicting the playfulness and timeless values of founder Salvatore Ferragamo himself. The campaign imagery has an underyling sense of ease and confidence as per the modern men and women of today, with models clad in colour-blocked plissé, abstract prints and elegant suits and skirts. Director Theo Stanley adopts the similar concept in a short film, with characters playing hide and seek within the grounds of an Italian countryside villa while leaving a trail of clues including the iconic Sofia bag reinterpreted in a plethora of hues and materials this season.
