Our favourite looks from the 2018 BAFTA Film Awards

Before the Oscars descend upon us this year (don’t forget to mark March 4 in your calendars), the best in film and TV were lauded at the 2018 BAFTAs just this evening at the Royal Albert Hall in London. One thing in common between this ceremony and the recent Golden Globes Awards (and even the Grammys!) is the plethora of black gowns that stars donned in support of the #TimesUp initiative. Making a stand in solidarity with women across all industries against harassment and abuse in the workplace, A-listers including Jennifer Lawrence, Angelina Jolie, and the cast of Black Panther Daniel Kaluya, Naomie Harris and Lupita Nyong’o had their best feet forward in the colour of the night.

Other head-turners include Saoirse Ronan in a sheer Chanel gown, Lily Donaldson who looked resplendent in Burberry, Timothée Chalamet in a sleek Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello suit, and Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, who stood out in a deep green gown by Jenny Packham (the royal family typically abstain from making political stands or statements). Below, scroll through the gallery and tell us which are your favourite looks of the night:
