MyTheresa collaborates with Citizens of Humanity on Metallica-inspired denim collection
One for denim/metalheads
If you think that an exclusive six-piece denim line from luxury fashion retailer MyTheresa.com's collab with Citizen of Humanity is already the most exciting thing you've heard of, wait till you get a load of what and who the collection is inspired by. Launching today on both the retailer and brand's online platforms, this collection comprising of denim outerwear and bottoms is designed by Citizen of Humanity's founder Jerome Dahan and women's creative director Catherine Ruy alongside MyTheresa.com's team.
The collection features major anti-fashion style elements (no surprise there) with influences from '80s and '90s heavy metal scene. Naturally, the first band that comes to mind from this subculture is Metallica—the band's uniform of denim jackets and distressed jeans practically made up this whole collection. Better yet, this collection's campaign was shot by Metallica drummer and founding member Lars Ulrich, featuring his wife, model Jessica Miller decked in the capsule's pieces. Fun fact: Each piece is produced entirely in LA at Citizens of Humanity's in-house laundry and manufacturing facilities, so you can expect unparallel quality and fit that's in line with the brand. Our inner denimheads have been sated with a slew of oversized boyfriend denim jackets, sleeveless vests, and high-rise skinny jeans.
