There has been an air of tranformation about Coach since Stuart Vevers came on board as Executive Creative Director in 2013. Youthfulness and modernity, with an injection of New York city cool has been imbued into their range of apparel and accessories—a new direction that is refreshing and very, very welcome. And what better way to announce this path of transformation than a 1,600 square foot space in the heart of the Golden Triangle to display their wares. “I wanted to create something different—different for Coach and unique in luxury,” says Vevers. “I believe that the new incarnation of the Coach store that William Sofield and I have created will trigger a powerful change in the perception of Coach: it is sophisticated and refined yet playful and authentic.”
Custom-designed cabinetry made from natural and ebonized ash, blackened steel and antique bronze with a mahogany trim all play off mid-century modern furniture that sits on a beautiful reclaimed heart-pine wood floor. It’s Coach’s luxurious new voice and the song they’re singing is one we’re very happy to hear. Coach’s new store is located at Lot G01A – G01C, Suria KLCC.
