If you’re embarking on a memorable summer getaway this year, drop by Chanel’s newly-reinvented Saint-Tropez boutique at the La Mistralée private mansion. This season’s reopening will see the Maison’s ready-to-wear creations, accessories, high jewellery and watches within a brand-spanking new decor that focuses on the heritage of Chanel.
Spot iconic shades of black, white, beige and gold in its exterior as the boutique opens into an entrance hall swathed in openwork panels. A subtle play on light and shadows is noted alongside walls adorned with frames and furnished with a large curved counter in oxidised copper. Clothes and handbags are displayed on two rails that run the length of the grand living room, while the glass-roofed room has retained its original mosaic floor and is now home to avant-gardist bust sculptures. Find a selection of high jewellery on display in July and August in this space as well. The outdoor pool is an unmissable summer must-have with its golden mosaic tiles that reflect the sun. Take a few steps to a garden-room dedicated to shoes, decorated beautifully with long white linen curtains and raw concrete shelves along the walls.
