The next chapter

Riding high on the success of Yeezy Boosts, Adidas has plans to further collaborate with Kanye West

Just when we thought we'd seen the last of Kanye West for Adidas, the music mogul catches us off guard by taking his relationship with the sportswear giant to the next level—Adidas has just announced its launch of Adidas + Kanye West, an entity that encompases footwear, apparel and accessories for all genders across street and sport.

"These past two years Adidas and Yeezy have given a glimpse into our future," says West. "This partnership illustrates that anyone with a dream can dream without limitations.”

Building on the two-year success of West's Yeezy Boost high-tops that can fetch up to $1,000 on eBay (it retails for $350), Adidas' expansion plans include increasing retail stores to serve as hubs for Adidas + Kanye West products, along with extending beyond its lifestyle focus by introducing performance-centric designs. Details of when and where these stores will be unveiled have yet to be announced. This partnership marks the next milestone made by both parties, the previous being West's much-talked-about Yeezy Season 1 and 2 presentations in New York Fashion Week along with the release of Yeezy Boost 350 sneakers, one of the fastest-selling shoes in history.
