This year’s winners of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Fashion Awards was announced last night at New York City, where the fashion industry’s headliners came out to play alongside Hollywood celebrities. Held at the Brooklyn Museum, the event was hosted by actress, writer and director Issa Rae (the first ever African-American host since the awards’ inception in 1981). Guests include the likes of Gigi Hadid, Anwar Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Kaia Gerber, Laura Harrier, Ashley Graham, Christian Siriano, and Wes Gordon among the many.
This time around, the honorees list gave plenty of reasons to talk about — from the new Influencer Award that was bagged by Kim Kardashian West along with a non-traditional fashion brand (Supreme) that took home the Menswear Designer of the Year Award.
