LOOKBOOK: Sportmax SS22 Runway

Art and fashion are inseparable––Sportmax’s SS22 runway shows it. For the latest collection, creative director Grazia Malagoli drew direct inspiration from avant-garde classical music composer John Cage and his most famous composition ”4’33, where not a single note is played. As such, models walked across a quiet pure-white environment as movement, music and clothes came together in diverse colours, shapes and textures to present a coolly charming collection down the runway. Injecting a Baroque sensibility into the brand's signature minimalism, silhouettes fashioned the body in juxtaposition, where 18th-century corsets and fanciful puff sleeves contrast with clean lines and soft tailoring, while leather, satin and jacquard collide against knitwear and jersey inspired by the world of dance.
