PFW SS16: Saint Laurent

The cool, IT girls of now will buy what Hedi Slimane has done for Saint Laurent, and especially so with S/S’16 where nothing but tiaras, lamé dresses and fur chubbies reigned

There were also throngs of outerwearfrom studded distressed leather jackets, military coats to a reboot of YSL’s tuxedo jackets, casually draped over shoulders of models who themselves were clad in tiny metallic slip dresses and Wellington boots—perfect for the girl who finds inner joy in exploring underground clubbing, Courtney Love concerts, and rainy London (although not in that order necessarily).

A few of the final looks were actually quite an eyeful—black bias-cut floor-length evening gowns with high slits that were, albeit ill-fitted, genial enough that it reeked of couture and less of indiscretion. It was safe to say that Saint Laurent S/S’16 is evidence of Slimane working his way to the hearts (and wardrobes) of young trendy girls who may probably be the next Kate Moss’s of the world.
