NYFW SS16: Public School
The world in black and white
Public School's SS16 collection oozes a sporty sophistication
Known for their affinity for street chic style, designers Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osbourne have turned Public School's SS16 collection into a contrastingly sophisticated mix of refined layers. Sparked from the duo's constant interpretation of the city of New York, this season sees their take on sporty influences, executed with minimalism come to life. Here, the layers are lean and lengthy, while the materials - a blend of sheer cotton, mesh, silk and nylon - accentuate a flowing, carefree effect, as if one is feeling a cool breeze while strutting down the streets of New York as the climate warms up. A visual play on clean shapes and optical ease is created with outlines in contrasting white and orange.
